is dedicated to women who love reading! One of the

reasons I decided to write the novel is because of

the profound, open-hearted conversations I've had

in book clubs over the last fifteen years.

Interested in a book club visit?

I would love to engage in a conversation

with you and your club about my work, and yours,

and the politics of -- well, you name, we can talk.

Please get in touch with me about a visit or workshop,

keeping in mind that I'm not able to go to every

club I'm invited to. Talking about writing, mine

and yours, is my livelihood, so an honorarium

for my time is always appreciated.

I had a very busy fall visiting writers' festivals across Canada. The Vancouver International Writers Festival was especially wonderful this year, but so was Calgary, Kingston, Waterloo (in the form of the Wild Writers Festival) . . . Along with so many readers and writers, I am enormously indebted to everyone who organizes, runs, volunteers, and attends these festivals. They are such inspiring times for writers and readers.

I'll be visiting Kitchener/Waterloo again at the end of January, for the Appetite for Reading Book Club. You can learn more about this fun event here:

I also have events coming up in the Maritimes, Calgary again, and hopefully Montreal. These are still in the planning stages, so please stay tuned.

As ever, thank you for reading . . .
